A new name, a different web site, and lots of construction activity. What is all this about?

Presumably, you have noted the name change from FAR Research, Inc. to FAR Chemical, Inc. After lots of thought and deliberation we felt that this was an appropriate step to take to inform those who really do not know FAR. We want those potential customers to know that our primary focus is plant scale manufacture of fine organic chemicals. Our bench chemists are great with their focus on process research and development to the end of scaling up chemistry into 50-2000 gallon plant reactors.

We have updated our web site. Some recent photos emphasize production scale capabilities. Also, we expect you'll find site interaction and information gathering more user friendly. Do send us your comments.

FAR is in the midst of a major capital campaign. On the process side we are installing a 30 ft3 hastelloy C double cone dryer/blender. Vessels 200 gallon and smaller plus our wiped and thin film evaporators are being relocated to a renovated production building. Process piping will be done to get our additional glasteel 2000 gal and 1000 gal vessels fully on stream. Security issues are being addressed with new fencing, plant access control system, and video monitoring. The hazardous waste storage area is being upgraded. A new shower and locker room has been constructed at the plant perimeter. Development and QC capabilities have been enhanced via recent acquisition of a GC-MS.
